Econ on the Menu The Economics Behind Every Bite
This new professional development series shows teachers how economics is everywhere, even on a restaurant menu. The series brings educators inside local restaurants to hear directly from business owners about pricing, supply chains, labor, and the ripple effects restaurants have on local economies. The first workshop will feature Capi Peck of Trio’s Restaurant in Little Rock and special guest, The Mighty Rib. The kickoff session is supported by Arkansas Farm Bureau, highlighting how Arkansas commodities connect agriculture to everyday economic decisions.

Student Competitions Are Heating Up!
Student competitions are underway across Arkansas, with teams advancing and preparations building toward upcoming state finals. These programs continue to draw strong participation from schools statewide, reflecting sustained demand for hands-on economic and financial learning opportunities.
That momentum was on full display at the Fall 2025 Stock Market Game™ Awards Luncheon, where supporters gathered to recognize top-performing teams from across the state. More than 7,700 students participated in the fall session, with winning teams representing the highest-performing portfolios statewide. The event celebrated student achievement alongside the educators and schools making these opportunities possible.
