Dear Star Kids Families,
We want to take a moment to recognize all the hard work and dedication our students have put in throughout the school year so far. Our Star Kids have made incredible progress, and we’re so proud of their efforts! With the finish line in sight, let’s keep up the momentum and finish the year strong.

February and March Recap
| Sponsor Thank You Letters
Thank you so much to everyone who has sent in their sponsor thank you letters. We will begin reaching out to those who have not yet submitted their letters. If you know you haven’t sent yours in yet, please do so as soon as possible.

Families enjoyed a fun night of craft making at FabNewport's Fab Lab. Thank you all who joined us!

| Afterschool Survey Feedback
Thank you to everyone who completed our afterschool survey! The winner of the raffle, Susan, has received her Amazon gift card. We truly appreciated reading your valuable feedback and were excited to see that students are involved in a variety of activities, including school clubs, gymnastics, soccer, boxing, baseball, and much more!
Just a reminder: Each Star Kids student is eligible for up to $400 in afterschool funding each school year.
| 8th Graders
Our 8th graders have been researching high school options and submitting applications over the past several months, and we are excited to share that they are beginning to receive acceptances. Schools our students have applied to include Westover School, Pomfret School, Dana Hall School, Rocky Hill Country Day School, Moses Brown School, Tabor Academy, Portsmouth Abbey School, St. George's School, The Governor’s Academy, Prout School, Bishop Stang High School, St. Mary Academy - Bay View, Metropolitan Regional Career and Technical Center, Atlantis Charter School, Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, Rogers High School, Middletown High School, and many more!

| 9th - 11th Graders
We will be holding a College and Career Prep meeting on April 15th, and St. George's is hosting a College Fair on April 25th. Please let either Lindsey or Briana know if you will be attending, or if you are unable to attend, one or both of these events.

The Milton Hershey School is hosting a free movie event for families interested in learning more about their school. They will be showing the Minecraft Movie at 4:00 PM on Thursday, April 17th at Showcase Cinemas in Warwick, with popcorn and a drink included!

| Summer Camps
Just a reminder that each Star Kid receives up to $500 in summer camp funding. Many summer camp registrations are open now and will fill up quickly so we encourage families to start looking now.

As a reminder, if your Star Kid attends a public school, they are still a part of our program. As long as you continue to send us their report cards, the student remains eligible for wraparound support funding.

Student Highlights
| - A 2nd grader won both the spelling and math bee at her school.
- An 11th grader was awarded 2nd Team All Division 2 at her basketball banquet.
- An 8th grader won her school's science fair.
