Well, the shortest day of the year, and at this moment, one of the dreariest!! We've only had an occasional snowfall, most of which has melted away within a day or two. The weather has been mostly beautiful this last week with temperatures above freezing. Depending on your point of view that could be good or bad, because it means most of our precipitation at the lower levels of the valley has been in the form of rain. It rained most of the night at our house. This morning it was raining here at the office and it's now trying to turn to snow.... heavy, wet, huge snowflakes dropping like rocks!! The forecast is calling for more sun and slightly lower temperatures the rest of this week, so we'll see how accurate it is.
