Dear Star Kids Families,
As we head into the final stretch of the school year, with just a few weeks to go, we want to take a moment to celebrate all the hard work and dedication our students have shown. Our Star Kids have made incredible progress, and we couldn’t be more proud of their accomplishments. Let’s keep the momentum going and finish the year strong!
We also love celebrating your children’s achievements and milestones, both big and small. We encourage families to send us photos and updates so we can highlight your Star Kids in our newsletter and celebrate alongside you!

April and May Recap

8th and 12th Grade Graduations
We are so proud of all our students, especially those graduating from 8th and 12th grade this year! This is such a special milestone, and we’d love to celebrate with you. Please share any photos from graduation ceremonies or celebrations! You can upload them here or share them via email.

2025 Annual Fundraising Gala
Celebrating the kick off of our 25th year. Thank you to all the students and family members who joined us on this special evening. We are especially grateful to Indyca for representing the Class of 2025 and sharing her remarks with our guests.

8th Graders
Last month, we shared where our 8th grade students applied to high school, and we’re now thrilled to announce where they’ll be attending as incoming 9th graders.
Our students have been accepted to a wonderful range of schools that reflect their hard work and diverse interests. So far this fall, they will be attending:
- Atlantis Charter School
- Bishop Stang High School
- B.M.C. Durfee High School
- Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School
- Middletown High School
- Moses Brown School
- Rogers High School
- The Prout School
- Westover School (Boarding school in Connecticut)
We are incredibly proud of our students and look forward to seeing all they accomplish in this next exciting chapter of their education!

12th Graders
We are incredibly proud of our 12th grade students for completing their secondary education. This year, we are thrilled to share that we have achieved a 100% graduation rate!
While not all of our graduates have finalized their post-graduation plans, several are heading off to college at institutions including:
- Salve Regina University
- University of Miami
- University of North Georgia
- University of Rhode Island
In addition, a number of students will be attending trade schools to pursue rewarding careers in the skilled trades.
We are excited to see where the future takes each of our graduates and will continue to cheer them on every step of the way!

Sponsor Thank You Letters
Thank you so much to everyone who has already sent in their sponsor thank-you letters — we truly appreciate it! We are still waiting on several students' letters. If you haven’t submitted yours yet, please be sure to send it in as soon as possible.

Summer Camps
Just a reminder that each Star Kid receives up to $500 in summer camp funding. Many summer camp registrations are open now and will fill up quickly so we encourage families to start looking now.

Public School Students
As a reminder, if your Star Kid attends a public school, they are still a part of our program. As long as you continue to send us their report cards, the student remains eligible for wraparound support funding.

Child and Family - Family Care Community Partnership
This program provides support for housing insecurity, employment needs, mental health services, and much more to help families meet basic needs and reduce stress. Referrals can be made by anyone, including our team, and DCYF involvement is not required for participation.

Student Highlights
|
- A 12th grader graduated from Oak Ridge Military Academy.
- A 12th grader graduated from Bishop Feehan High School.
- A 11th grader received the Horatio Alger scholarship
- An 11th grader was inducted into National Honor Society.
- A kindergartener participated in her school's science fair.
- An 8th grader made her confirmation.
- Many high schoolers joined us at St. George's College Fair.
