Huge congratulations to the newly launched young professional committee on their rooftop summer event bringing together over 130 young professional men and women.
Guests enjoyed drinks, sushi, and music while learning more about JWA’s critical work.
Speaking at the event, broadcaster, activist and JWA Ambassador, Rachel Riley, spoke about her friend - a mother in her late 20s - who experienced domestic abuse. Thanking attendees, she said: “It is up to us to show victims of domestic abuse that we know they're out there, we know the struggles they face, and we know that they don't deserve to be living in fear and abuse. JWA are there not just to help these families, but to actively go out into the community and educate us all to prevent future victims falling prey.” She added: “It's up to us to drive the change for future generations.”
