November 2025 Newsletter

At Bow Valley Palliative, our mission is to provide compassionate, individualized palliative care and grief support to individuals and families throughout the Bow Valley.
A note from our CEO:

An early snowfall and opening of the ski hills, are a stark reminder of how quickly things can change and plans have to be adjusted. Living in the Bow Valley, we are accustomed to the ever-changing world of nature around us. We have adapted to our environment, learned to take whatever comes our way and to live our lives to the fullest. This approach is at the heart of Bow Valley Palliative. We are here to support our community, navigating a diagnosis, continuing to live life, and understanding the grief that we feel.

November is a month of remembrance. A time to pause and honour the courage and sacrifice of those who have served so that others may live in peace. Bow Valley Palliative is proud to stand in solidarity with our veterans, their families, and all who carry the weight of remembrance. As we remember and reflect, we pledge to foster peace and compassion in their legacy.

The Centre for Palliative Care
As the documentation continues to be finalized on the land and the permits progress, we are taking the opportunity to share more about our space, what it will look like and what will be available to our community. We recently appreciated the opportunity to share this with the Rotary Club of Canmore, walked through the different spaces, spoke to the type of programs and supports that will be available and the importance of our community in helping us provide much needed support to everyone in the Bow Valley.

We are excited to create the opportunity for our larger community to see the plans and talk through what will be available when we hold a Holiday Open House on November 21. As well as seasonal activities for all ages, our team will be available to share more about our building, its construction and timelines and the supports that will be available when it is opened. Come long, join in the celebrations and find out more about this beautiful space. Details below.
We’re having a Holiday Open House and you’re invited!
