Join Us at the 2020 Brain Health Fair

The 2020 Brain Health Fair will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Center on April 30, 2020. This fair is an opportunity for dystonia patients to learn more about movement disorders and meet volunteers from our Toronto Support Group. Click here to read about the event.

Montreal Symposium - March 28, 2020

Call for Volunteers:

Edmonton Casino

The Edmonton Casino will be held April 22-23, 2020. This event requires at least 35 volunteers, and each volunteer, in time and effort, raises the equivalent of $2,000! Click here for further details and to sign up today.

2020 Jackson Mooney Patient Grant

An Education Grant Valued at $5000.00

The Jackson Mooney Dystonia Patient Grant provides financial assistance for dystonia patients who are interested in furthering their education to meet their career objectives. Letters of interest are due April 15, 2020. If you know anyone who would benefit from this grant, please pass this information on to them. Click here to learn about application requirements.

Dystonia Support Groups: Updates

DMRF Canada welcomes new leaders to the Dystonia Support Group network.

Winnipeg Support Group: Welcome Jennifer Lovell, the new leader of the Winnipeg Support Group. You can contact Jennifer at manitobadystonia@gmail.com. Barbara Crow, the former leader of the Winnipeg Support Group, has retired. On behalf of all of us at DMRF Canada we thank Barbara for her 25 years of support and service!

Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Support Group: Welcome Stephanie Alldred, the new co-leader, joining Shirley Lee for the (GTA) Support Group. The Group has a new e- mail: dystoniatoronto@gmail.com; and now has a Facebook page. Click here to join.

Chuck's 5K Run, Walk, Wheel for Dystonia will be held on May 31, 2020 in High Park, Toronto, Ontario. Participants can join from anywhere in Canada with our exciting new 'Remote Runner' feature this year! Stay tuned for more details to come in the following weeks.
