A Note From Our CEO
September 2020
Dear Friend,
I hope this newsletter finds you healthy and well during these truly challenging times.
When last I wrote, we had just re-started our Mikey's Way Wish List Program. The good news is that since then, the Wish List requests have been coming in non-stop. We are up to our eyeballs in shipments! You'll be happy to know that even in this uncertain time, your support brings much-needed smiles to cancer patients in need.
It is your past support that has sustained us thus far this year. But I write to you today to ask for your continued help. COVID has forced us to cancel four major in-person fundraising events. In the past, we've relied on these events to raise the money needed to purchase our gifts of electronics for the year.
Our plan is to replace those in-person events with one new virtual event so we can continue filling each and every Wish List request. Below you will find more details about our new virtual silent auction - The Soiree of Hope.
Please consider supporting this event in any way you can - as a sponsor, as a donor, by bidding on an auction item or by spreading the word among your friends. Your support is critical to our ability to continue Mikey's legacy of helping kids cope. Thank you.
My best wishes to you and your family,
Les Friedman
CEO and Mikey's Dad
PS - Please know that the children we serve are so very grateful for your support - check out some of the photos below as proof!

YOU MAKE THIS POSSIBLE
"Hello this is Zeke, age 16. Zeke was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when he was 9 years old. He is currently battling for the third time at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. We are from a different part of Texas, and Houston will be our new home for the next several months. The laptop will definitely come in handy during his long admission. Thank you so much for this beautiful gesture!! We will always be grateful!" ~Zeke's Mom

Helping Kids Cope with Cancer... Mikey's Way!
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
Did you know that every day, 43 children are diagnosed with cancer?
For thousands of children across the country, cancer is a daily reality. For this reason, at Mikey’s Way, we see every day as a chance to raise awareness about childhood cancer.
Our mission is to enrich the lives of children suffering from cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. We strive to help children face the emotional and physical hardships of long-term, debilitating treatment.
