Letter from the Director |
Hello Neighbor,
Around here, July means summer has officially arrived and there’s no better indicator than the display of Sakonnet Lighthouse masterpieces on our front lawn. Lighthouses on the Lawn is a new twist on our Annual Art Show. The exhibition is on display throughout the summer, running alongside an online auction which ends on August 28th at 5PM. If you’re local, stop by any time to see these spectacular works of art. Not making it to LC this summer? Don’t fret! You can view the gallery online by clicking here…and while you’re there don’t forget to place your bid!
July at the Community Center brings a variety of excitement from gathering our military community for a cookout to celebrating USA's 250th Birthday at an extra special trivia night featuring our friends at the LC Historical Society. Our beloved Summer Concert Series returns this month for an extended season. If you're looking for summer fun, we’ve got something for you. We hope to see you soon!
Kindly,
Amy Mooney
Executive Director

From Memorial Day through Labor Day, the Little Compton Community Center is hiding 29 painted 3D-printed geese around Little Compton to celebrate our 29th birthday! Follow our social media for clues and join the town-wide scavenger hunt. The first person to find a goose gets to keep it!
Each goose was 3D printed by the LC Makers and decorated by local artists, including Dorothy Kinnane, Galen Snow, Helen Woodhouse, Janie Kinnane, Kitt Shaffer, Michelle Tripp, Nancy Westfeldt, and Taylor Toppa.
Found a goose? Send us a photo of you and your goose where you discovered it! Photos can be sent via social media DM or emailed to juliatripp@lccenter.org.
