The Kootenay Community Bat Project is offering a Bat Count Workshop at the Wildlife Interpretation Centre on Thursday June 4th from 8:30-10:30 pm. See a local bat colony and become trained as a Citizen Scientist. Come and learn more about bat ecology and conservation and how to conduct an Annual Bat Count to monitor bat populations. Join us for a Bat House Building Workshop on Saturday June 20th. We will provide the pre-cut pieces and you will assemble it and take it home. We will provide fun and engaging information on bats with activities and presentations. You must pre-register for this event (call 250 402 6908) and the cost is $10 per house (one bat house per household).
